One of my my favorite moments was beating Del Campo Varsity Soccer at Del Campo. We punked them in their own crib!! We had some serious talent with Francois Dejean, and Mike Guiou (all city players) Del Campo was the best in the city (always ranked #1) and it was probably the biggest soccer victory for San Juan High School in a long time.
I also had great memories with Mr. Lagomarcino, Mr. Gatewood, Mrs Divici, Mr. Lockteff, Mr.Terwilligar, and Mrs. Andersen. They were the teachers that inspired me to teach today.
I also have fond memories of my French Class (Mrs. Divici) where every kid fought over their GPA's, class ranks, what Universities they would get into. I think our French class had an average of a 4.1 GPA, because we were all in honors classes. My class rank was in the low 50's, while we had 8 of the top ten in that class. The competition in that class was awesome, it really pushed me to be a better student academically.
Oh yeah....Sizzling Wok had good won ton soup too....lol
Kicking Rudy Castro's ass in wiffle ball after school was also nice too
Wow, I was going to pick just one but since Ronny had so many and it brought back some fun memories just reading some of the names in the stories, I think I'll pick several! Thanks Ronnie.
As for me, I remember going to Round Table after football games our senior year, hitting togos before away games (so far there's an eating theme), swim meets, Psychology class where we were treated like adults, homecoming hall decorating as juniors kicking the senior's butts. In fact we always had an awesome hall.
Wonderful friend memories of staying over at Maylene's house and hanging with Julie Smoot and Stacey Reimers watching movies and eating baskin robbins. Cheerleading camps/practices/games, the parties at Lex's house... 2 liter anyone?
All great times and I'm sure a thousand more I'll think of later.
Wow! I can't even pick just one! Getting into a car accident in Jr. year with Barbara Alvord (now Zavala) was not exactly a fond memory, but it certainly sticks out!
Senior Year Homecoming (Peggie, Barbara, Eric) was sooo much fun!
AP Bio class with Sam was fun too.
Swim meets...a short stint on the water polo team...P.E. soccer...Hall Decorating...
